This half-day tour takes you to the hills of St. Ann and 9 Mile Village, where the King of Reggae, Bob Marley, was born and where he was laid to rest when he died. As you pass through the rural countryside, your driver/guide will tell you about some of the events that have occurred in this area, and provide cultural information about Jamaica and its people.

Local Rastafarian guides will tell you stories about Bob Marley’s early days, his life, and his love of football and women. See where he was born and the simple house where he lived for part of his life. Learn about places where he gained inspiration for some of his greatest songs, such as Three Little Birds and Talking Blues. You can also see the rock he sang about.

Our Driver Peter and Tour guide Debbie did great, even though it was a long drive to get to nine miles they did everything to make the journey seems short and the tour itself was great. Nick and I could not wait to get on the plantation, being there we feel so close to Bob. Didnt want to leave but we had to it was great feeling that vibe and hearing all about Bob’s childhood days. love you Bob.

Shirley and Nick we remember your nine miles trip quite well and we really want to thank you for giving us a review. We also remember how anxious you were to get there and that’s why the journey seems longer than it really was. We do understand your concern when it comes to the roadways, however we are letting you know they are now working on parts of the roadways and the roads should be better when you return. Thanks again for choosing Jamaican Excursions to explore Jamaica.
